How to brainwash. 

 

Hello, my dear drinkers. Today we gathered at a very early hour, when it is still quite dark outside. Not only is it dark, but it's still cold, rainy and not very pleasant at all. Well, get used to it!  It is for this weather that the guerrillas make transitions of ten to fifteen kilometers per day. In short, I am underestimating this. There are more, and much more. The cold encourages you to drink rum. I can already smell strong Cuban rum in the air! This smell evokes in me memories of the Cuban Revolution and cirrhosis of the liver. I hope you will be able to repeat the Cuban Revolution in our country. You don't have to repeat cirrhosis of the liver, but if you drink rum, it will overtake you. And then you'll be like Che Guevara! He was a big drinker, too. At least in some ways you'll be like Che! That's good, but now it's business. 

 

Today I will tell you all about how we should build a party organization. Well, the very terrorist sect that is supposed to make a socialist revolution in the country. It must be the head of themasses, be their avant-garde! This is very important! In short, I will say about it later, and now we need to give you some practical advice on party building. 

 

Some people think that revolution is very simple. It's like going after bread, like this. Others think that revolution is, on the contrary, very, very difficult. Even more complicated than higher mathematics. Both are really wrong. Revolution is not so difficult, but it is not very easy. It is similar to wood carving: there is nothing complicated about it, but it requires constant training of their skills. Only this training can save us and our great revolutionary cause. 

 

First of all, we have to determine what we mean by the party. By the party we mean the sect of our supporters. Members of this sect are fighting the Russian government. Not individually, but directly within the sect. Individually it is possible and so, without any sect. Or rather, it would be to say that it is the sect that is fighting this very struggle. Now that we have decided in principle that there is a party, we can discuss the methods of party building. Of course, these methods are completely subordinate to our goals. That is why goals are always important to formulate: because the methods of achieving the goal are fully defined by this very goal. Our goal is to throw our government out in the cold. Although no, the government of pigs should be sent to the animal. Too much good pork will be lost! After all, it can be given to dogs for food. But we're the one who got distracted by the pigs, and we have to get back to business. So our party must make a revolution. This defines the essence of political construction. First of all, we need to learn: the revolutionary party requires revolutionary cadres. Therefore, they should be selected very carefully. We can't afford any turnover. You have to remember that the party is not a party, not a society of friends. In short, there was once a secret terrorist organization in Greece, which was called «Φιλική Εταιρεία». In translation, this means «Society of friends». But we are not Greeks, so I ask you not to turn the party into a society of friends. This should not be done not because the evil uncle has forbidden you. The thing is, it's just not safe. Tell me, how many of your friends are loyalists? How many of them tolerated, which will to the last believe TV? There is no need only to be cunning and deceive me and yourself: among our friends there are plenty of them. And we have a lot of friends,what people we do unfamiliar. Of course, they can be your good buddies in everyday relationships, but you don't need to drag them all into the party! And even more so it is impossible to talk about the existence of the party at every turn. So it will be quickly destroyed. I tell you right away: you should trust only the closest friends in this regard. And only as you can trust to the very last edge. Because it often happens that someone told a friend about the party, and then had a fight with this friend. A friend in retaliation told about the party to the police. At that time the party where these events took place almost ceased to exist and for another six months she was not living because of police surveillance. That's why your first rule is: don't talk! There is another question that cannot be dismissed either. Who should we irradiate with propaganda if no one can be irradiated with propaganda? This is where complex materialistic dialectic comes into play: on the one hand, there is no way we can deploy open and widespread propaganda in the masses, on the other hand, that's what we should do. As a result, we will have to choose a cross between these two extremes.

 

Our own periodicals are of particular importance to us.  Many fighting revolutionary parties were formed around a magazine. RSDLP – around «The Sparks», NBP – on the basis of «Limonka». We also need to start our own periodical. Since this is the age of information technology, it should be on the Internet. You can still additionally make a paper version for the old-fashioned.  But this is secondary. The quality of the texts you will publish is much more important. These latter should be written so that you can be read by university professors and factory workers. And not only read, but also imbued with the ideas of the revolution. The party will be formed on the basis of the printed edition. Activists will be recruited from their own subscribers. 

 

We should not forget about wall agitation. Of course, in the age of the Internet, many people think that graffiti is the last century. That will punish fate for contempt! I tell you: graffiti is still effective! Moreover, it is very easy to make them. First, you'll need paint. It can be bought, and you can make yourself. The second we're preferred. Naturally, the politicians can take, yes and ban the trade of the paint! So write down the prescription. We need to take the linseed oil and the ordinary sajo. Since the first is used in cooking, it is likely not to be forbidden. To speak to soot, it can be obtained by itself. This requires a burning of charcoal. What's left after his combustion is the sword. Very little black dust. So, in the linen, the oil add the plant. Then it will only be a mixer. All: paint is ready. Now we need to describe the paint methods. The easiest is to take a large painted brush, put it in paint, and then write this brush all you want. You can use the way more progressive. You're gonna need to get a big garden spray. These are usually applied in agriculture to combat pest control. Next, you need to pour paint into the sprayer cylinder.  Now everything is elementary. You take the sprayer, you point it at the wall, and then you turn it on! The paint instantly falls on the surface. You can also use a stencil. To do this, you need to take a thin sheet of cardboard. In short, it is permissible to use a piece of tarpaulin or a plastic sheet to make a stencil. The surface of the selected material is covered with holes. In shape, these holes should resemble letters. Together they form a single inscription.  For example: «Down with bourgeois elections! Long live the people's war!». When everything is ready, you can get down to business. We have to take the stencil and put it against the wall.  After smearing with paint holes that have the shape of letters and form an inscription. Then remove the stencil. All! On the wall remains a smooth and neat inscription. In this way you can get very beautiful graffiti. Another of it's charm is that it can be used to act very quickly. And saving time for us is a great thing. Now it is necessary to say about where the graffiti is placed. On the walls, of course! Just remember: only the walls located in the places of congestion of our potential friends are suitable. That is, near the objects of industry, as well as in the quarters of the cluster of the poor. That's where our campaigning should be placed. This is also explained by the fact that the police in the slums look infrequently. That is, no one will prevent you from spreading agitation... In short, it is better to act at night anyway. If you can't work in the dark, choose a moment when strangers can't see. 

 

A couple of words should be given to proclamations. That is, all sorts of leaflets. You can print them on an ancient rotator, as well as on a modern printer. In short, the latter is better not to use. The fact is that such machines leave special marks on the documents. They can easily point to the owner of this device. If you apply the specified technique, it is only with great care. The printer must be either stolen or bought illegally. In short, it is better to use a rotator. As a last resort – make with a stencil. There's nothing complicated here. All you have to do is cut out the thin holes in the form you're used. It is required to apply it to a piece of paper. Put a stencil on top, applied paint, removed. Now we have to wait. The oil paint hardens slowly. When it dries, you can glue! Now about spreading. Proclamations are usually hung in crowded places, where people are constantly crowding. Most often it is information boards of posters, doors of state institutions, entrances of residential buildings. You need to glue leaflets very diligently. Otherwise, your campaigning will be disrupted in vain. It is best to apply for this purpose a special glue of it's own making. First, you'll need a solvent. Appropriate acetone, gasoline, toluene or something similar. Then take linoleum, polystyrene or rubber. These solids need to be cut to small pieces. The latter are lowered into a pre-prepared solvent. Next, you should close the vessel with future glue. After one day, all abandoned pruning will dissolve. The contents of the jar will turn into a stringy homogeneous mass. That's glue and ready! Now everything is elementary: smear the back of the leaflet with this substance, and sculpt to the door of any ministry. Be careful! You shouldn't be noticed while you're unmracing. It should be said that if you do not want to mess around, you can use the purchased glue. Technically, we've described everything. Now let's go back to the general problems. 

 

The second organizational issue is centralization and decentralization. Here we will again have to choose something in between. A fully centralized organization is good because it can do a lot because of the discipline that reigns there. All it's resources are concentrated in the head center. At the same time, however, if the police manage to dismantle this very center, the party will be left without a head and will die. In a decentralized organization, this is not possible. There's a lot of cells waging war against the government, but they're all autonomous. In the present day, anarchists refer to such structures as «affinity groups». Such communities are usually informal. Most often they grow on the basis of friendly companies. This is their strength: such groups are completely invulnerable to police agents. Their main weakness is informal. Informal, that is optional. Of course, it is very difficult to establish order in such structures, and an undisciplined army is a weak army. That's why I'm a supporter of the compromise. We need an organization centralized enough to coordinate joint action, but the center should not get involved in the internal affairs of the cells. If these cases are certainly not dangerous for the whole organization. So we talked about the main strategic issues of the organization, and now let's talk about tactics. 

 

The first question of tactics is how we get the personnel for the revolution. Naturally, there is no universal answer to it and there can be no one-size-fits-all answer. First of all, you should pay attention to your friends and your immediate surroundings. Think about whether there are some notorious «not like everyone else» among them. If you find such people among your surroundings, then start processing their propaganda. I will say even less about propaganda below, and for now I will continue to talk about the sources of young revolutionaries. If you see that your friend is interested in politics, then it's just fine. This very fact makes him a potential candidate for the party. If your friend is just dissatisfied with the modern reality, the government and the school administration, it is not so good, but also very good. If he just reads some smart books, it's a little worse, but still good. All three of these categories can easily get to our organization. But it's just about your friends. We're not. We need to expand and capture the masses. They won't take themselves. So, where do we find a new contingent of the revolutionary party? The answer is obvious: in the family parties. First of all, I'm talking about communist and generally left-wing parties. You can find them in large numbers online. There's a lot of good in this very Internet. There, for example, there are numerous left-wing sites. The certain group of people has been formed around each of these sites. I love the people grouping around the left-wing sites of Runet. They, as a rule, do not need special propaganda: they have already washed their brains. In fact, all the work has already been done. These people sometimes have a good idea of Marxism. They are just waiting for the moment when the agitator will approach them. An agitator who whispers in their ear in a sexual voice: «Do you want to be a terrorist?». The easiest way to find such people is through social networks, of course. The fact here is that all these left-wing sites have their own groups on social networks, and in these groups sits a huge number of people. People who are fully prepared for the revolution. All they're waiting for you to do is come and call them to war. This contingent is certainly the most reliable. Even if a fellow refuses to join the party, he's not going to complain. Most of the time, it's not gonna go. You can turn around properly, but I'm caution to remember.

 

Groups of potential revolutionaries do not end there. Next, I'll tell you more about them. We need to expand our ranks. This explains my desire to increase the party population at the expense of what Americans call the politically incorrect word queer. Back in the fifties and sixties, the French Marxists came up with the fact that the revolutionary class is not so much a proletariat as a naked one. To be more precise, the Marxists knew about it before, but still gave more importance to the proletariat.  I will say quite honestly: our class is a bull, a naked, a lumpen-proletariat. Some may be offended here, but they will be unintelligent people. The government treats all of us worse than a farmer treats his cattle. Even if you are fed, you should remember that for the government you are like a fat turkey, which is fat fat before the New Year. If the state treats us as a bull (i.e. cattle), then we should call ourselves. Don't be shy: we are a bull! I'm a bull! And I'm proud of it!  S, I advise you to focus on the people close to us. Fascists, Nazis, Scientologists, homosexuals, football fans, – they are all your friends and brothers. All these people are united by their opposition to the government and the Russian state. Go to the sectarians, go to the Nazis! Agitate in the shadons and gates, at and parties! You must remember that no contingent should be missed. Do we need the guys from MGIMO?! Yes, we need no doubt! Do we need the AUE? Yes, without them – nowhere! Any enemy of the state automatically becomes our friend and ally. Trotskyists and dogmatics will begin to reproach me for the fact that I call to unite with the most reactionary forces for victory. This is, of course, a mere lie and slander. First, we need to remember that all these movements are reactionary only in their form. They arise because of ignorance. Imagine that a person has already imbued with hatred for the state and Putin. He's ready to go kill fat officials. His revolutionary fervor has reached the limit. But where is he going? He joins a Nazi gang, an AUE cell, a football hooligans' club. And all his revolutionary fervor is dissipated in vain. That is why I say that such organizations are in nature progressive and reactionary in form. People want to protest, they want to fight the government, but they have no ideology. Moreover, ignorance prevents them from creating the right ideology. Therefore, their protest took a reactionary form.  Form, but not the essence! You are the ones who give them ideology. It is you who must clear their brains from reactive delays. So I encourage you to adjust in their midst. Here, for example, students of mgimo. So many of them have the money and connections we need. And some people have even the brains. Word, missing these students from the sight can't be done. And these are the guys from AUE. They're real thugs for killing a man – a trick case. Moreover, they have weapons. So the people from the au need us. And we also need Scientologists, Nazis, fascists and all the people who oppress Putin'sreactionary regime. So I say, agitate in orgies, get in the dentons, agitate in companies. Agitate wherever possible. But careful not to forget. Word, you understand my thoughts. I hope so.

 

Now that we're identified with the contingent, we need to think about propaganda. But first, I'm gonna have a little liquid. We now have a great pile of books about propaganda, PR, advertising and similar disciplines. Most of them are almost completely useless for us. You can read them just for the introduction. This will be very good as it will broaden your horizons. For us, however, these books are not suitable. They speak either of bourgeois propaganda or commercial advertising. These phenomenon are completely alien and hostile to us, and those who offer us to use PR methods do not understand the difference between bourgeois and revolutionary propaganda. The purpose of bourgeois propaganda is to deceive people. Bourgeois propagandists, who we now call the disgusting word «PR», deceive the people, mislead them, encourage the wildest superstitions in them. Revolutionary propaganda for it'spurposes is the opposite of the propaganda of the bourgeois. Revolutionary propaganda enlightens the people, relieves them of illusions and superstitions, encourages them to live creativity. That is why proletarian propaganda cannot act by bourgeois methods. In all these books on marketing and PR tells about how to deceive a person, as if to slip him a bad product at a high price, as if to mislead him. Our goal is to rid people of misconceptions. However, you just need to know the bourgeois methods of propaganda. You have to understand how our enemy works. This is the only way you can effectively resist it. Therefore, I encourage you to read bourgeois propaganda books, but God forbid you use the techniques from there in practice. This can only discredit our movement. 

 

Now that I have exposed bourgeois propaganda, it is possible to describe the rules of propaganda of the revolutionary. 

 

The first rule of revolutionary propaganda is to tell people what they want to hear from you. Perhaps it will seem stupid to you, and perhaps – that is banal. Some will think that this is a departure from the principles of propaganda That I have proclaimed before. All this, of course, is not true. In fact, this rule is based on the principles of dialectical materialism. First of all, existence, and consciousness is secondary. This means that our ideas and ideas are based on the conditions of our daily lives. Moreover, our ideas are defined by our living conditions. Therefore, the most effective propaganda is propaganda that meets the needs of the masses. This is often the case: the agitator comes to the village and starts there about dialectic, about Althusser, about the «new left» bend. And people don't listen to him. They don't know Althusser now. They have a lot of problems without it: the salary is small, there is no running water, power outages, in the store prices are high and the like. If you are an agitator in the village, then you have to talk about the problems of this particular village. Don't tell you about Althusser, talk about old barns that need repairs! Of course, it doesn't just work in the village. If you're agitating students, don't talk about barns, but talk about Althusser. And you have to talk to people so that they understand you. With intellectuals – talk difficult and meaningful. You're going to marry a smart one. With backward groups of the population – speak simply. It is not very difficult to talk to office hamsters, but not simplistic. Of course, you don't just have to tell nice people. You're still an agitator! They send you to people to agitate, not to sing them songs. So you not only have to tell them the pleasant, but also to instill the meanings we need. You're talking, for example, about barns that require urgent repairs, for which there is no money. At the same time, I must somehow remember that under Stalin something did not happen or tell people about how such problems are solved by the peasants of rebellious areas of South America. Talk to people on topics of interest to them, talk to people in a language they understand. But do not forget that you are an agitator, your task is propaganda.

 

So the first principle is now clear to you. Let's move on to the second one. Art, as we know, expresses thecommon ality through private. This is it's historical strength and purpose. Chekhov's play «The Cherry Orchard» shows us the process of ruining Russian landowners. Through a private case, that is, through a case that happened to one family – Chekhov shows exactly the process that affected many families, and this is already common. So, through private – to express the common. That's the purpose of art! Propaganda is also in some way an art form, and a revolutionary art. Very progressive art! So you need to learn to express the common ality through private. Do it clearly and so that not in the eyebrow, and in the eye. In the official's eye. Here, for example, are the statistics. Statistics are, of course, necessary and useful. Moreover, the statistics work wonderfully in propaganda, but not always. The fact is that all statistics should be provided with the necessary commentary. In this very comment you are obliged to give a class point of view. It should explain to the reader the meaning of these statistics, explain that our situation is difficult or, on the contrary, remarkable. But it is possible to act by the methods of art. For example, you need to talk about the ruin of the middle class in Russia. You can give statistics and so on, or you can tell a story. It will be a rather sentimental story about one Russian family. This family was quite well-off, but gradually completely impoverished and sank. People don't like to read statistical reports, but here are interesting stories they love. That's why I advise you to tell such stories more often. Of course, they will not replace statistics, but it is possible and necessary to use them as propaganda materials. That's understandable. Well, that's understandable. 

 

Now we will talk about the third principle of our propaganda. I told you that we need to teach a person to think, to free his mind from illusions. All this, of course, is very good, but it is very difficult to achieve it. We need to encourage people to think on their own. It is only through provocation that he can be encouraged to think on his own. Yes, i'm talking about what the situationists used to be doing. Of course, it is possible to criticize situationalism indefinitely, but we must remember that it's followers have created good methods of struggle. Of course, these methods are far from all-powerful. Moreover, if mishandled, they become useless, but if we combine them skillfully with other means of struggle, it will be of great benefit to us. We have to make scandals all the time. To do this, however, we need to find out: that in the end there is a scandal, that in the end there is a provocation. Although no, let's not say «scandal» or «provocation». We will say «acts of a provocative nature». These are actions aimed at causing the reaction of our enemy. The best example here will be the action «Pussy Riot» in the temple. This action with dancing in the church was needed only to cause a reaction of clerics. That's why they organized it, so that the churchmen began to tear and throw. That's what I'm talking about now. We should organize such actions, which would cause the reaction of the authorities. If you want to become some notable phenomenon, then you need to do things unusual. Therefore, all actions should be exactly that unusual, opposing daily life. If they are immoral, cynical, cruel and nasty to public morals, such actionswill invariably be discussed. In this respect, we can determine that provocative actions are actions aimed at causing any reaction to them from our enemies. The actions of unusual, contrary to social norms of law and morality are suitable for provocation. They've dealt with it. Now I have to explain to you the essence of modern morality. Some right-wingers argue that there is no public morality at all. This is, of course, complete nonsense. Morality will exist as long as only class society exists. Of course, morality can change.  In the nineteenth century, for example, public morality allowed both racism and nationalism. Although no, the word «allowed» would be incorrect. «Allowed» can be said about the variety of the norm. The morality of the time postulated racism and nationalism as the only version of the norm. Yes, then you had to be both a nationalist, a racist, and a patriot just to be a normal person. At the same time, it was completely unacceptable to be a homosexual, a, a narrow-eyed or a communist in those days. If people knew in the nineteenth century that you were a homosexual or a communist, they would at best stop saying hello to you. At worst, you would have been killed. These days, everything has become accurate, but vice versa. Now to be a, a homosexual or a life-and-a-half is an honor. At the same time, racism and nationalism are marginalized. If your boss at work finds out that you're a Nazi, a bon, a racist or something like that, he's not thinking you're going to be kicked out of work. Now you can't say in a decent society that you're a racist and want to kill all the. But what's the big deal? Yes, morale has changed. Homosexuality used to be immoral, but racism was then in honor. Now it's the other way around. But I haven't said the most important thing yet: capitalism from this at least what! Morale has changed radically, while the power of capital continues to stand. That's why I have to explain something else to you. Some of the «new left» thought that there was some special capitalist morality. By it they understood some caricatured Puritan and sanctimonious morality of the Anglo-American type. In fact, it turned out that capitalism does not know any morality at all. Moreover, capitalism cannot break morality. Moralism is not afraid of capitalism. Capitalism is compatible with almost any morality. Unless it prevents him from exploiting. As it turned out, neither Christian morality nor morality secular and humanistic can prevent him in this case. The emancipation of homosis is good, of course, but the power of capital will not help. At the same time, we must remember that for us communists, all oppressed are potential allies. That is why all sorts of Western leftists of the sixties and seventies of the last century loved so much homosexuals, women and the like. But then some of them began to develop completely anti-scientific theories about the fact that all these – as if not tactical allies, and strategic. Some even said that feminists should make a revolution, not a proletariat. This, of course, is a nonsense that you do not even want to disassemble. In fact, I can say this.  In the seventeenth year the Bolsheviks had to take in the allies of the peasants. In the sixty-eighth, the new left has taken on the assistants of homosexuals and feminists. In both cases, these werepurely market-friendly steps. Under any capitalism, there will necessarily be oppressed minorities. It is these minorities that must be worked with. The best thing for such a minority in modern Russia is the far-right. Putin's state oppresses Nazis and fascists, prevents them from professing their views and so on. In short, the Nazis do not live well these days. That's why we have to cooperate with the Nazis, with skinheads (although they are now out of fashion and out), with fascists, Lemons and others. Otto Strasser was friends with both communists and Nazis. In the same way, the Chinese Communists once cooperated with the bourgeois nationalists from the Kuomintang. At this cooperation it is necessary to understand that there is and cannot be any «unbreakable brotherhood of fascists and communists». We communists can get closer to the fascists, but under other conditions we will be the worst enemies. Now the government oppresses fascists, and therefore we modem to be friends with them. If the government changes the record and starts to love the fascists, we will immediately disengage. But at the moment we all have to be at least a little fascist.
