MY DEAR СHILD

Soon I'll be 85. I have devoted 50 years of my life to a seeking practical ways to live a healthy life. To’ this end, every day I expose myself to different aspects of the world of Nature especially its severe aspects. I fully intend to share all of my Experience with our Soviet people, young and old and with people the world over. This is my gift to you all.

MY DEAR СHILD

I know you fully wish to be of service to the Soviet people who are building Communism to the peoples of the world who strive for a better life. For this you would do well to be of sound body and mind. In addition to my advice that appeared in «Ogonyok» magazine N 8, 1982 l now ask you from the botton of my heart to accept some futher advice from mc on how to strengthen your health:

1. Twice a day take a cold bath in natural water so that you feel good.

Depending on your living conditions bathe wherever.you– can: in a fake or river, – in a bath, take a shower or dowse yourself with water. Finish a hot bath with cold water.

2. Before or after bathing and if possible while bathing, stand barefoot on the earth or on snow in the winter for at least 1–2 minutes. Take a deep breath several times through your mouth and mentally wish everyone, including yourself, good health.

3. Do not drink alcohol or smoke.

4. Try at least oncea week do completely without food and' water from Friday 6.00—8.00 p. m. to noon Sunday. Doing this brings your own rewards and peace of mind. If you find it too difficult, then hold out for at least one entire day.

5. At noon 12.00 on Sunday walk barefoot outside and breathe in deeply and think the thoughts suggested above. This is the culminating point, the celebration of your efforts. After this you may cat all that you like.

6. Love the natural environment that surrounds you. Do not spit anything out and around you. Get used to it: it represents your health.

7. Greet everyone everywhere, especially elder people. If you wish to be healthy yourself, greet everyone else.

8. Help people however you can, especially the poor, sick, abused and needy. Do this with joy. Respond to people's needs with your heart and Soul. You will make friends and help the cause of peace in the world.

9. Overcome your own greediness, laziness, selfishness, egoism, fear, hypocrisy, pride. Trust people and love them. Do not spesk unjustly about them and do not lake negative thought about them to heart.

10. Free your mind of thoughts about illness, disabilities and death. This is your victory.

11. Do not separate thoughts from actions. It's good to read – but act.

12. Tell others about this work but do not brag and think too highly of yourself because of it. Be modest.
