Prologue
Honesty
Thanksgiving with Dirty Affliction
"Happy Thanksgiving, baby," Linc said, kissing the spot just below my ear. I did what I had been doing a lot of lately: I smiled from ear to ear, covering his mouth with mine. I had never been as happy as I had been since we arrived back from Montana. Linc was doing well with his recovery and he had made a lot of progress in therapy. I wouldn't go as far as saying he had overcome the damage that was done to him by his father, but he was learning to deal with it. He hadn’t had a nightmare in months. That was major progress.
Jinx decided he would act as manager of Dirty Affliction with the approval of the rest of the band. They also hired me to handle the promotional side of things, which thankfully, I could do from home for the time being. He hired an accountant to look over the books, which turned up something startling and totally unexpected. It turned out Court had been stealing money from the band and funneling it into Sweet Misery's account to cover their expenses. Court had been seeing Courtney long before he was ever hired by Dirty Affliction. There was a lawsuit pending against Court and a restraining order against Teagan Miller. She was not to come within one hundred feet of Linc or me.
The guys decided to start their own label called, Afflicted, and so far, they had signed several well-known bands. Linc was in charge and it also gave him time to write music for their next album, which they would start recording shortly after Christmas.
Honor Collins had worked out so well with the band, the guys had decided to add her permanently to Dirty Affliction, even if Linc decided to tour again. I asked them to invite her to Thanksgiving dinner, which was only a few short hours away, so I could finally meet her.
"What are you doing, Linc?" I asked, as he pushed my hair over my shoulder to give him better access to the bare skin of my neck and shoulder.
"If you don't know, I must be doing something wrong," he said, kissing the spot beneath my ear. The spot that made me instantly wet for him.
"Linc, everyone will be back soon. We have to finish dinner and we don't need to get caught with our pants down, literally," I told him, turning away from the relish tray I was currently working on, to meet his eyes. Bad move on my part. His eyes were warm with mischief and the promise of pleasure.
"Love is a beautiful thing, baby. The guys have seen my junk before. I promise to be quick, I just really need to be inside you right now," he said, pushing me back against the counter and grinding his length against my center. The friction felt too damn good to ignore. I wrapped my arms around his neck, covering his mouth with mine, licking and biting his bottom lip. A growl escaped the back of his throat and I yelped as he lifted me and walked over to the dining room table. He held my eyes as he lowered me slowly onto my back. The heat of his gaze sent tingles throughout my body, stopping at my already throbbing core.
"Linc, we have to eat on this table," I gasped, as he bit my nipple through the soft fabric of my t-shirt. He swiftly removed my jeans and underwear, and then removed his own clothes. I removed my t-shirt and bra and tossed them on the floor along with the rest of our clothes.
I laid spread out onto the dining room table like a Thanksgiving dinner, ready to be feasted upon, and that's exactly what he did. He palmed both of my breasts, taking one of my nipples into his mouth, he licked and sucked so hard that it felt as if there was an invisible string between my nipple and my clit and it throbbed every time his teeth grazed my nipple. His left hand slid down my body to my clit, where he rubbed little circles around the hard nub.
"Oh, Linc," I breathed, rolling my head to the side. "That feels so good," I squirmed, pushing myself against his hand, needing more contact. His head disappeared from my breast and disappeared between my thighs where he licked me from back to front with the flat of his tongue. The feeling was exquisite, but it still wasn't enough. I wanted more. I needed more.
"More. Linc, I need more!" I gasped as he took my clit between his teeth and bit lightly. A gush of cream flowed from me and onto his tongue.
"I love your fucking cream, baby. You taste so damn sweet. I could feast on you all day," he said. He stared in my eyes; the look on his face intense as he thrust deep inside of me, filling me with his passion and desire. "I love you more than anything, baby," he grunted as he rocked against my body while he worked his cock in and out of me, building me up quickly.
"Linc, I'm so close, so close," I moaned.
"I know me too," he said, picking up the pace. With each thrust, the metal ball of his apadravya piercing slid over my G-spot, sending a fresh rush of liquid.
Soon the only sound in the room was the slapping sound of our slick bodies moving against one another. It felt like heaven and made me feel light headed as I reached my peak and shattered beneath him.
"I'm coming!" I shouted, while tightening my legs around his waist, pulling him deeper inside of me. His hips clenched with one last thrust and I could feel the hot jets of his release against my womb. I clenched hard around him, causing him to groan.
"Shit baby, don't do that," he said. I couldn't hold back the giggle that escaped me. "You think that's funny? If we had time, I'd fuck you again, right here on this table," he said, standing to gather his clothes. "You should have known better than to start this when you know anyone could walk in at any moment and catch us," he said teasingly. "Now get your sweet ass off the table. We have to eat on that in less than an hour," he laughed as he pulled me up from the table and into his arms.
"I don't recall twisting your arm. I seem to remember it was you begging me," I replied with a look of surprise on my face.
He shook his head and furrowed his brow as if he were totally confused. "If you don't remember that, then maybe you'll remember this," I said, dropping to my knees, taking him into my mouth. I sucked on his hard cock, and swirled my tongue around the tip before letting it pop free of my mouth. I looked up in satisfaction as I saw the look of lust and need in his eyes. "Get dressed sugar bear, the guys will be home any minute," I grinned and turned, heading up the stairs with my clothes in hand. I looked over my shoulder once I reached the top of the stairs and found him standing, frozen in place, with his pierced cock hard and standing at attention. The look on his face was priceless. It was almost like he had lost his favorite toy. I laughed out loud and headed to the shower to wash off the smell of sex before the guys arrived.
"Hey guys! How was the arcade?" I asked as I walked into the kitchen to find Jinx and Levi sitting at the dining room table with glasses of iced tea. Linc was at the counter, peeling hard boiled eggs to make his famous deviled eggs. Why they were famous, I had no clue. When I asked, he said if he told me, he'd have to kill me, so I didn't push it.
"It was paintball," Jinx said.
"Yeah, it's the only place that we can kill each other and not go to jail for it," Chance said, laughing as he and a beautiful young woman entered the room. That must have been Honor, the new bass guitar player. Since the guys had been on the road, I hadn’t had the opportunity to meet her yet. She had long, blonde hair with blue highlights, the same color as Chance's Mohawk. I wondered if it was just a coincidence. She was around my height, long legs, and a slim build. She had stunning blue eyes.
"Hi, you must be Honor," I said, stepping forward, offering her my hand. "I'm Honesty, Jinx's sister," I said with a smile and she smiled and took my hand.
"She's not just Jinx's little sister, she's my woman," Linc said. "Isn't that right, babe?" He said, looking at me from over his shoulder with a sexy grin on his face. My thoughts immediately went to the dining room table. As if he knew what I was thinking, he gave me a quick nod to let me know he had, in fact, wiped down the table after I went upstairs.
"That's right, sugar bear," I teased and he groaned as the guys gave him hell about his new nick name. I smirked, loving every minute of it.
"It's nice to finally meet you," Honor said from behind me. I had gotten so distracted by my thoughts I had forgotten we weren't finished with our conversation. "I've heard so many nice things about you from your brother," she said, and I made a mental note to ask Jinx about it later.
"Well, welcome to the group. I hope the guys have treated you well. They can act like a bunch of two year olds at times," I said teasingly, glancing where the guys still sat around the table, joking with one another. It warmed my heart to see everyone together and happy.
"I've noticed that. Especially when it comes to breakfast; I finally got tired of all the arguing and bought a box of pop tarts and some fruit loops. I told them to suck it up and fill up because that was all they were getting," she said with a laugh. I couldn't hold back my own laughter.
"You are going to do just fine with these guys," I said, wrapping my arm around her shoulders in a welcoming hug. "Want to help me get dinner on the table?" I asked her and she jumped at the opportunity.
"It smells like a fart in here," Chance said, sniffing the air and crinkling his nose.
"That would be your upper lip," Honor said, earning herself a snort from Chance. Even though her back was to him, I saw the smile that spread across her lips. There was definitely something going on between those two. It was going to be fun to sit back and watch.
Once dinner was on the table and we were all seated, I decided to carry on a tradition we used to do in our household before my parents died. "I would like to go around the table and each of us say something that we are thankful for," I said, and I was surprised when no one objected.
"I'll start," I told them. "This year, I'm thankful for my brother and the fact he has finally allowed me to grow up and make my own decisions. I'm thankful for each of you guys for welcoming me into the group and becoming a part of my family. I think of each of you as brothers. I'm thankful to finally get to meet Honor and I look forward to getting to know her. I'm most thankful for the man in my life and the love he has shown me. We have formed a bond like no other and I love you, sugar bear," I said, with a grin.
Linc flipped the guys off when they snickered at my endearment. I looked to my right where Jinx sat next to me, indicating it was his turn to speak.
"This year, I'm most thankful for my sister. You've grown into a beautiful young woman and, even though I trust your decisions, I will always look out for you until the day that I die. I'm thankful that those who were dragging us down are no longer in our lives, and now we can move on to bigger and better things. I'm thankful to have Honor as a part of the band now and I look forward to having her tour with us next year. Welcome to the Dirty Affliction family," he said, lifting his tea glass, as if to salute her. Looking to his right, he nudged Levi with his elbow.
"This year, I'm thankful for you guys and the band," he said and then looked toward Honor who was sitting next to him.
"Oh, I think I'm going to cry man!" Chance teased Levi.
"Fuck you dick head," Levi replied, followed by a burst of laughter.
"This year, I'm thankful to be a part of the band. I look forward to touring with you guys. I'm also thankful for the opportunity to begin again," she said, which made me wonder what she meant by “begin again.” Definitely a conversation for another time; maybe once I had gotten to know her better.
She looked to her right where Linc sat, to the left of me. He actually stood from the table, something that no one else did. We all took the lazy way out and sat in our chairs.
"I have so much to be thankful for this year. My sobriety, my health, but most of all, I'm thankful for you, baby," he said, looking down at me. My heart began to race in my chest and my palms began to sweat. There was just something different about the look on his face. I couldn’t explain it; it was unlike anything I had seen before. "You stuck by me, even when I didn't deserve it. You believed in me when no one else did. You loved me when I couldn't love myself. You help me to be a better person. The first time I laid eyes on you, I knew you were my soul mate. We were made for each other," he said, moving his chair back and dropping to one knee. "I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life making you happy. Honesty Marie Raines, will you marry me?" He asked as he pulled a small, black velvet box from the front pocket of his jeans.
I was already crying and saying, “Yes” before he even revealed the ring. I couldn't think of anything I wanted more than to spend the rest of my life with the man I loved.
"Yes. Lincoln Abel McKay. Yes! I will marry you!" I exclaimed as I wrapped my arms around his neck and cried into his shoulder. I could hear the sounds of applause around the table as Linc whispered sweet declarations of his love in my ear. That was the best Thanksgiving ever!
