Honesty
I was awakened by something warm and wet between my legs. I opened my eyes and looked down at the top of Linc's head buried between my legs as he slowly licked my slit with the flat of his tongue. "Good morning to you, too," I moaned and smiled as his light golden eyes met mine. "You really make the day worth waking up for," I said with a gasp as he sucked my clit between his lips.
"I've been watching you sleep for the past hour and I couldn't take it any longer. I thought, asleep or not, I needed to taste you. It's been too long," he told me, licking through my folds again and curling his tongue over my clit. I couldn't help but squirm at the exquisite feeling he was giving me.
"It's only been a few hours," I breathed, lifting my hips and pressing myself shamelessly against his lips.
"That's far too long, baby. I need you at least every hour," he said, delving his tongue inside me, causing me to cry out in pleasure. My breath became choppy as his tongue fluttered over my clit like the wings of a butterfly.
"Oh Linc! It's too much," I said, trying to push myself up the bed to escape his torturous tongue. "I'm going to come!" I shouted as his hold on my thighs tightened and the suction on my clit increased. I had no choice but to let go. I could feel my release pouring out of me and into his mouth as he groaned his approval against the lips of my sex. He didn't give me a chance to recover as his body suddenly covered mine and he thrust forward and into my still rippling pussy. His nostrils flared and he inhaled deep, taking in the scent of arousal. I watched in fascination as his mouth covered my nipple and he began to lick and suck the peak.
"You're so fucking wet," he growled against my breast as he continued to thrust inside me. "You're so warm and tight. I can feel your pussy gripping my cock and it feels fucking amazing, baby," he said, moving to the other breast, taking it into his mouth. I lifted my hips and began rubbing my clit against him, urging him to move a little faster. Even though I had just come a few minutes before, it was already building fast within me and I was on the edge, ready to fall again. Burying his face in my neck, he nipped at my damp skin, igniting my body with just the touch of his lips as he began to thrust in and out at a steady pace. "Come with me, Honesty. Let go and come on my cock baby," he said, and that was all the encouragement I needed. I saw bursts of lights behind my eyelids as I shattered along with him. A hot gush of liquid dripped from my body and onto the sheets; the result of our combined love making.
He rolled off me and onto his side, in order not to crush me with his body. Our chests heaved and our bodies were slick with sweat as we lay silently for several long minutes as our breathing returned to normal.
"You, Mr. McKay, have a wicked mouth. It seems that you are a man with many talents," I said, and he smirked as he lifted himself up on one elbow and kissed me.
"You have no idea," he winked. "I plan to use all of my talents on you for the next fifty years," he said, placing kisses down my neck and over my collar bone.
"I look forward to it," I said as I pushed him onto his back so I hovered over him. "If you wake me up like that every morning for the next fifty years, I'll die a happy woman," I giggled. "Let's shower and get some breakfast. I'm starving," I said, pushing myself up off the bed.
I headed for the shower with him close on my heels. I squeaked when he scooped me up and sat me on the vanity while he started the shower. All the while, I enjoyed the view of his gloriously naked body.
Once the temperature was right, he stepped between my legs and looked into my eyes. "Wrap your legs around me baby and hold on," he said, lifting me into his arms and stepping into the shower. He closed the shower door and stood under the spray, letting the hot spray cover our naked bodies like a sheet. Unwrapping my legs, I slid down his body until my feet touched the shower floor. Looking up into his smoldering eyes, I smirked before dropping to my knees in front of him.
"Now it's time that I show you some of my talents," I said, wrapping my hand around the base of his cock, working it up and down over the tip. He stared into my eyes as I licked his dick from base to tip and moaned when the salty taste of pre-cum landed on my tongue. His fingers tangled into my hair and he watched with hooded eyes as I took as much of him into my mouth as possible. My head bobbed up and down as I swirled my tongue around the tip, gagging a few times when he hit the back of my throat. I never had enjoyed giving blow jobs, but for some reason, doing it for him made me feel even closer to him, loving him even more. I licked the thick vein underneath and sucked him harder once I reached the tip, causing him to groan in appreciation.
"Oh fuck, baby. Your hot little mouth feels so damn good," he said, his breathing labored. His fingers tangled in my hair as he gripped my head in his hands and began to thrust faster. Lowering my hand between his legs, I gripped his balls and gently rolled them between my fingers, and his speed only increased with the sensation it caused. I could tell he was about to release when his stomach muscles clenched and his thigh muscles turned to stone. Moving my hand behind his balls, I pressed a fingertip into his taint.
"Oh shit! I'm coming!" His breath hitched and he roared as his hot release coated the back of my throat.
"Damn, baby. That was fucking hot," he said, taking my hand, helping me to my feet. He pulled me into his arms and gently kissed me, our flavors mixing together on our tongues sent a shiver down my spine. It was intoxicating to say the least.
Once we had showered and dressed for the day, we headed to the hotel dining room to meet the rest of the guys for breakfast and to discuss plans for the label party that evening.
"Ah, young love," Chance said with a smirk as Linc and I sat alongside my brother.
"You should try it sometime," Levi told him, and Chance's nose crinkled at the idea.
"No thanks! I'm never going to settle down," he said, shaking his head back and forth.
"I think it's great that you two finally committed to each other. I think it would be nice to have someone by your side, to talk about your shit day and to hold in your arms every night. I want that shit one day," Levi admitted, earning a snort from Chance.
"Look at you getting all deep and shit. Did you trade your dick in for a pussy, man? What the fuck?" Chance asked
"I'm looking forward to the day a woman gets her hooks in to you. You won't know up from down, all you'll know is that you can't get enough of her when she's next to you and you'll do whatever you can to make sure you don't have to find out what it’s like without her," Linc said, before leaning over and kissing my cheek.
"Okay, enough of this!" Jinx said. "I've arranged for transportation to the party tonight so you guys need to be ready to leave, no later than eight o'clock. There will be plenty of photo hounds outside the venue when we arrive, so be on your best behavior," he said, looking from Linc to Chance. We also need to keep an eye out inside. You know, they sometimes like to sneak people in to these things looking for opportunities to sell a picture." Before he could say anything else, a waitress appeared with a pot of coffee and a pitcher of water for our table. She passed us each a breakfast menu and then walked away, giving us time to make our decision.
Levi frowned down at the menu and said,"They don't have smothered and covered.” I cut my eyes around and glared at him. This is the only time I could say that I had seen them act like spoiled children. It was just something about breakfast food that made them this way.
"I'm getting three of the funny face pancakes!" Chance said with a smirk on his face. I felt like I needed to take on the role of Mom whenever we all ate breakfast together.
"Why don't you just order the number two? It's the same thing, minus the whipped cream." I told him. The look on his face was that of sheer horror, as if I had just told him at Santa Claus was not real.
"What is wrong with your woman, Linc? You need to take control of her. Everybody knows it's all about the whipped cream smiley faces and blue berry eyes," he said, rolling his eyes. He could be such a child.
Once we had all eaten, I decided to leave Linc with the guys to discuss the night’s event while I treated myself to a spa day and searched for a dress to wear to the event.
"I'll see you guys later," I announced, leaning in close to Linc. "I'm going to the spa to get ready for tonight. I'm going to have them wax every inch of my body so I'm smooth as silk for you," I whispered in his ear and lingered there long enough for him to feel my hot breath against his skin. When I heard the sharp intake of his breath, I knew that I'd made my point. There was a flame burning behind those warm, honey colored eyes, and it made me happy to know I was leaving him with something to look forward to later that night.
I took the elevator up to our room and grabbed my purse from the dining room table. I turned to walk from the room when I noticed a red light flashing on the suite phone, indicating we had a message. Picking up the receiver, I punched in the code and waited for the message to start. When I heard Teagan's voice on the other end, my stomach twisted into a painful knot. I felt as if I was about to lose my breakfast as I listened to her hateful words.
"I know you're missing me baby. Just think about all the fun times we've had, not to mention all of the phenomenal sex. I mean, no one can rock my world like you Linc. Please tell me that being with that little cunt is just charity. I think it's about time you stop playing the part of good citizen and come back to me. I promise you won't regret it. You know I'll always make it worth your while. I look forward to seeing you tonight, baby. Ditch the skank and party with me. I'll bring the bump," her message said in her nasty, devious voice.
I hung up the phone, stunned by what I had just heard. After everything that had happened over the past months and she still thought that Linc would want to be with her? She knew how to play dirty by using his weakness for drugs against him. That just confirmed that she was more than a bitch; she was hateful, hurtful, and heartless all rolled into one dangerous package.
I decided not to tell anyone about the message. I would stick close to Linc, not giving her a chance to get anywhere near him. Once the night was over, we would be headed home, and as far away from her as possible. That way, there would be no drama, and there would not be another opportunity for the paparazzi to smear Linc's name. With that decision being made, I locked the door behind me and headed out for my day of shopping and being pampered at the spa.

"Have I told you that you look fucking amazing?" Linc asked me in the back of the limo on our way to the label party.
"You might have mentioned it a couple of times already," I giggled and glanced down at our entwined fingers. It made me happy to know that I had picked a dress he liked so well. After trying on numerous dresses, I'd settled on a simple, form fitting, strapless, black dress that stopped mid-thigh. That, combined with some simple jewelry and a pair of black stilettos, made the perfection combination, and Linc could not keep his eyes off of me.
"You two going to make goo-goo eyes at each other all night? If you are, please tell me now so I can steer clear of you two. I don't want you cramping my style while I'm trying to hit on the ladies," Chance said, causing us to laugh.
"Oh please. Even if Janet Jackson were here tonight, I'm sure she'd see right through you. She's too sophisticated for the “hit it and quit it” scene that you're into," Linc teased.
"Oh Ms. Jackson, if you only knew just how nasty I am," he said, causing us all to burst into laughter.
The limo rolled to a stop in front of the venue, where there was a steady line of celebrities walking the red carpet, on their way inside. The limo door opened and Linc stepped out, offering me his hand to help me out. The amount of camera flashes going off at one time had me momentarily blinded and I had to rely on Linc to guide me inside. Once my vision cleared and there were only a few spots remaining in my vision, I could really take in the place. It was set up like a strip club. There was VIP seating upstairs, a DJ booth to the right, along with a curved bar. There was a dance floor in the middle with several poles for dancing and seating areas scattered throughout. I was in awe of all the celebrities that were there and the way they were dressed. I was definitely overdressed, judging by some of the outfits the ladies were wearing.
"Hey, what are you thinking?" Linc asked; his mouth next to my ear so I could hear him over the music. I couldn’t help but smile as a familiar tingle ran down my spine and stopped at my core. I looked up at him and took a moment to appreciate how happy he looked and how clear and vibrant his eyes were.
"I was just thinking about how lucky I am to have you in my life," I said, kissing him gently on the lips. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me tightly against his strong body.
"Baby, I'm the–" he began but was interrupted before he could finish. The head of the record label greeted the guys, praising them for staying at the top of the charts for the past two months. He told them he could see bigger things coming their way, which meant they would be on the road twice as much. I thanked my lucky stars Linc had decided to take some time off to work on songs for their next album, and also to focus on his health. There was also the fact that we would be spending even more time together. I was very much looking forward to becoming Mrs. Lincoln McKay. My heart stopped when I spotted Court standing across the room with Courtney on his arm. "What the fuck?" I said, elbowing Linc lightly in the side to get his attention.
"What'd you do that for?" He asked, rubbing his side as if I'd just cracked a rib.
"Look!" I lifted my chin in the direction of where Court stood on the other side of the room. Just as he was about to say something, Jinx, Chance, and Levi stepped in front of us, blocking our view of the two.
"Did you see that?" Jinx asked, hooking his thumb in Court's direction. "That explains a lot. Don't you think?" He said.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, as nothing he said made sense to me.
"He's had a thing going on with Courtney that he has kept hidden until now. That explains why Sweet Misery was forced on us for the tour. He hasn't been looking out for our well-being; he has been looking out for theirs. He has been using our success to promote them," he explained, his hands balled into tight fists at his side.
"I never liked that fucker. I knew something wasn't right," Linc said.
"I'm calling our attorney tomorrow and telling him everything. We're suing his ass for everything he's got. I'm going to make sure he doesn't work in this business again," Jinx said, and all the guys voiced their agreement.
I spotted Teagan from the corner of my eye, standing at the bar, talking with some unsuspecting guy. I should have walked over there and warned him of just what she was all about.
"I'm going to grab a Diet Coke from the bar. Would you like a bottle of water or a soda?" I asked Linc.
"No, baby. Don't be gone too long, though. I miss touching you," he said next to my ear, his warm breath making me shiver. I walked straight to the bar and stopped in front of Teagan. She looked at me with wide eyes that were full of surprise, but she showed her true colors as her lip curled into a snarl.
"Well, well. To what do I owe this pleasure? Shouldn't you be over there, standing guard?” She asked, her snarl turning into a devious grin. The poor guy that she had been talking to turned and walked away. I supposed he didn't want to get in the middle of a cat fight. Usually guys get excited when they think two women are about to pull hair. "Aren't you afraid of what will happen if you leave him alone?" She asked. The bartender interrupted to take my order before she could continue. "I guess you know he's meeting me later tonight," she claimed.
I lifted my brow in question as the bartender slid a glass of diet coke in front of me.
"Oh? Do tell. You think, just because you left him a message at our room, promising him– What was the word you used? Oh yes, phenomenal sex. It would be enough for him to drop his fiancée and come running, open arms, to you?" I asked.
The look on her face changed in the blink of an eye. She looked like a woman possessed, and all I could think about was what would happen if the paparazzi took pictures of us in that moment? They would probably write something about Linc's jilted lover and his new fiancée fighting over him at the label party.
"Oh honey, please. You really think he is going to marry you and settle down? This,” She motioned around the room with her hand, “is in his blood. He was born to be a rock star, just like he was born to live that lifestyle. He will come back to me and back to the drugs. It is only a matter of time, so you keep telling yourself he loves you, because one day, he will show you just how much he loves his drugs," she said.
I snapped. I pulled back my arm, and was just about to deck her when someone grabbed me. I jerked my head around to find Chance standing beside me, holding on to my arm.
"Let it go, darling’. She's not worth it," he said.
I opened my mouth to speak but he continued, "Let me guess, she's been telling you all about how Linc loves her and how he's going to leave you and go back to her. Am I right?" He asked, and I nodded, unable to speak because there was a huge lump in my throat.
"Take your drink and go on back to Linc. I'll take care of her. Okay?" He said, and at that moment, I had a whole new respect for Chance. He was no longer the colorful-haired, Mohawk wearing, goofball guitar player for Dirty Affliction; he was now a good friend.
I grabbed my Diet Coke and walked across the room, straight into Linc's arms.
"What's wrong, baby?" He asked. He obviously hadn't seen me talking to Teagan, so I decided not to bother him with it when I shouldn't have started it to begin with.
"Nothing's wrong. Dance with me?” I arched a questioning brow?
Grabbing my hand, he led me onto the dance floor, where we danced close, grinding our hips together and stole kisses every now and then. After the third song finished, I downed my Diet Coke and excused myself to the restroom. "I'll be right back," I said, kissing his cheek.
"Want me to go with you?" He asked, wiggling his brows suggestively.
"I would love for you to, but I actually have to pee, sweetheart," I laughed. "I will only be gone for a minute," I said over my shoulder as I turned and walked away. I weaved my way through the crowd until I found the hallway where the restrooms were located. I staggered down the hall as if I'd been drinking. My vision blurred and I suddenly felt nauseous. The only thing I could think of was maybe I'm having a stroke. I felt dizzy. I tried to lift my arm to push open the door to the restroom, thinking if I could splash a little cold water on my face I'd feel better, only I couldn't lift my arm, I couldn't even get my legs to work anymore. A feeling of panic flooded my body and everything went black.
Linc
People started screaming and suddenly the music stopped. People started shouting for someone to call 911. I looked around the room for Honesty, as she should have been back from the restroom by that point, but she wasn't. Panic rushed through my veins like wildfire as I pushed my way through the crowd of people until I saw her. She was lying on the floor, her body jerking from what looked like a seizure and there was white, foamy stuff leaking from her mouth. It may sound crazy, but my future flashed before my eyes. A lonely, messed up future without her in it. The promise of her becoming my wife; having children, and growing old together, gone in the snap of a finger.
"Honesty, baby!" I kneeled down beside her and lifted her hand to my lips, kissing her palm. The seizure had stopped, but she was still unconscious. I pushed the damp hair away from her cheek. She looked so pale. I was not sure what happened from the time she left me to go to the restroom, but I intended to find out.
Jinx was on his knees opposite of me, and he was beside himself. I couldn't make out what he was saying. Nothing was sinking in; nothing made sense. The only thing I could think of was that I was in danger of losing the only woman I had ever loved, the only person who had ever loved and believed in me. This couldn’t be right. This was not the way our future was supposed to go. I couldn’t live without her.
The paramedics arrived and pushed us away so they could attend to her. Everything seemed to move in slow motion and made me feel even more anxious. They started an I. V. and did all they could before loading her into the back of the ambulance and driving away with my other half.
"Come on let's go," someone said, grabbing my arm, pulling me from the building. I was in such a daze that I didn't even know who it was until I was pushed into the back of the limo with the other guys. Chance slammed the car door and yelled for the driver to take us to the Mercy General Emergency Room.
When we arrived at the hospital, they ushered us into a private waiting area located next to the emergency room so we didn't draw any unwanted attention to the hospital. At that point they were still working on her and wouldn't even allow Jinx in the room. I walked across the room and sat in one of the hard, gray, plastic chairs. I held my head in my hands and let the first tears fall for the woman that I loved.
"Raines family?" A tall, gray haired man said as he stepped into the waiting room. We all jumped to our feet and circled around him as he explained Honesty's condition. “I'm Dr. Andrews. It seems that Ms. Raines was given the drug GHB by someone at the party tonight. It typically takes up to twelve hours for the drug to leave someone’s system, but we've pumped her stomach, so I do not believe it will take that long. She is extremely lucky. I do not believe there will be any permanent damage, however she may have a headache or her memory may seem a bit foggy regarding tonight's events, but she will make a full recovery.
"When can we see her?" I asked, needing to be by her side.
"They are moving her into a room. We would like to keep her overnight, just for observation. Someone will be in shortly with the room number, and then you are free to see her. If you have any questions, just let one of the nurses know and they will page me," he said, turning to leaving the room.
We took the service elevator up to room 430 once we had been given the okay by the nurse. We all entered her room, totally ignoring the two visitor rule. There was no way in hell I was waiting outside while the others went in without me. As far as I was concerned, I would be the one staying with her that night and they could draw straws to see who got to come in, should they try to enforce the visiting rules.
She looked so small and pale lying in that hospital bed when we walked in. I leaned over the railing of her bed and placed a kiss on her forehead. She opened her eyes and looked at me, her green eyes dull in color and still droopy from the drugs. She managed to give me a smile, which was the best gift knowing she could go from a night of being drugged, having seizures, and almost dying, to smiling at me. It proved just what kind of person she was.
"Thank God you're okay, baby," I said, lacing her fingers with mine. "I was so afraid I had lost you," I admitted.
"Don't you ever scare me like that again," Jinx said, leaning in and giving her a kiss on the cheek. "I know I can be a bossy brother at times, but don't you think this is an extreme way of getting back at me?" He teased. I could see tears in his eyes for his sister.
Levi and Chance stood at the foot of her bed and questioned her about her conversation with Teagan. I looked at her with surprise. Just as I was about to question her, there was a knock at the door.
"Ms. Raines," a police officer said as he entered the room. She gave him a nod in confirmation. "I'm Officer Tomlin and I have some information that I'd like to share with you, if you are feeling up to it.
"Do you know who did this to her?" I quickly asked, not giving her a chance to respond.
The officer looked from me to Honesty, questioning if it were okay to proceed.
"Officer Tomlin, this is my fiancée, Lincoln McKay, my brother Jinx, “she motioned to us with her free hand, “and this is Chance and Levi. They're my family, please continue," she told him.
"After you were transported here, my team and I stayed behind to question anyone who might have seen or heard anything throughout the evening. A man by the name of," he paused, flipping through his notepad for the name, "Scott Hart said he was talking with Teagan Miller when you approached her. He claimed the conversation started to get a little heated, but he stepped away, as he could clearly see the two of you knew each other. He stated felt that it was something personal, so he stepped away, but luckily for you, not too far. He claimed when you turned to speak with someone else, Ms. Miller picked up your glass, but only for a second before she sat it back on the bar. He said he didn't see her actually drug you, but it gave us enough information to question her about it. She admitted to slipping the drug into your drink," he said.
"That must have been when I was talking to you, Chance," she said, looking in his direction. He nodded in agreement.
"When I questioned her about the discussion between you two, she denied that it was anything heated, but when I told her that we had an eye witness that seen her pick up your drink, she confessed to putting the drug in it," he told us. “She is in jail and she is going to be there for a while. When you are discharged, you need to come down to the police station to fill out some paperwork and give us your statement of what happened between the two of you," he said, handing over his business card before leaving.
"That bitch! I will kill her with my bare hands," I said through gritted teeth. "She has pushed me for the last time.”
"Linc, please just let it go," she said, placing her hand on top of mine, her eyes pleading with me.
"Baby, you could've died. How am I supposed to just let that go," I asked, begging her to understand.
"But, I didn't and I'm here, and I'm asking you to let it go. You can carry me to the police station tomorrow after I'm discharge and I'll make my statement. We'll let the police take it from there. I'm a firm believer that what goes around comes around and karma can be a real bitch," she said.
Even though my emotions were all over the place and I hated Teagan Miller with every fiber of my being, I loved Honesty Raines more than anything. I would do anything to make her happy, and if letting it go would make her happy, then that was what I would do.
"Okay, baby. If that's what you want," I told her, leaning in and kissing her forehead.
"That goes for you too, Jinx. I know you're already working out in your brain how you can get back at her without me finding out. Please promise me that you'll let it go," she said to her brother.
I could tell by the look on his face that she had him figured out. He agreed to her wishes, but I could tell he didn't like it one bit.
"Did you guys meet Honor during all of the chaos tonight?" Honesty asked. The drugs were starting to wear off. I was surprised she even remembered Honor Collins was supposed to be there.
"She didn't make it," Jinx said, shaking his head. “I got a voicemail from her stating her flight had been delayed and she would meet us at the next stop on the tour. I was going to tell you guys, but then we spotted Court and it totally left my mind until now," he explained.
"What a fucked up night this has been," I said, exhaling loudly, sitting in the chair next to Honesty's bed.
"You can say that again," Chance agreed. "What do you guys say we get out of here and let her get some rest," he suggested. They all agreed.
After each one kissing her on the forehead and saying goodnight, they left the two of us alone.
"After you make your statement tomorrow, we're hopping on the next plane home. You know that, right?" I said.
"I wouldn't think of staying here a moment longer," she said with a smile that warmed my heart.
"I'm never letting you out of my sight again," I said as I crawled into the hospital bed next to her. She rested her head on my chest and closed her eyes. I knew when her breathing evened out, she had fallen asleep. I lay there, staring at the white tile
