He stood up and gave me the most smoldering look I’d ever seen. “Stand up, Ari, and take off your clothes. I want to watch you.”
Oh. My. God. I think I just felt a rush of water between my legs.
I got up and stood in front of him. He walked backward, sat down in the chair, and just stared at me.
You can do this, Ari. I smiled at him. I wanted to turn him on as much as he was turning me on. I leisurely started to pull my T-shirt over my head. Once I had it off, I put my hands on my stomach and moved them up and over my chest and then around to my back to unsnap my bra. I never took my eyes off of him. I gradually took off my bra and dropped it to the floor. I placed my hands on the sides of my neck and slowly moved them down. As I started to play with my nipples, I watched as Jeff licked his lips and adjusted in his seat. I smiled, knowing that I was driving him crazy.
Time to step it up, Ari. I gently moved my hands down and started to unbutton my pants. I slowly took them off and kicked them to the side. Then, I placed my hand into my panties as I used my other one to touch my nipple. I threw my head back and let out a long low moan.
“Motherfucker,” Jeff whispered.
I smiled as I heard him moving around. I snapped my head forward and watched as he started to undress. When I began to remove my panties, he stopped undressing to stare at me. I took a few steps back and got onto the bed. Lying down, I continued to touch myself.
The next thing I knew, he was crawling on the bed.
“Not so fast.” I held him up and away from me. I slid out from underneath him. “Lie on your back, Jeff.”
He smiled, and I’d never seen him move so damn fast in my life.
I got off the bed, stood at the end, and smiled at him. “Feel on yourself, baby.”
He lifted his head and looked at me, confused. “What?”
I glanced down at his harder-than-rock dick and licked my lips as I snapped my eyes back up at him. “You got to watch me touch myself. Now, I get to watch you.”
“Ari…”
“Please, Jeff.” I placed my finger inside my mouth.
“Fuck me.”
“That’s what I intend to do,” I purred as I gave him a sexy smile.
He quickly took himself in his hand and started to move it up and down.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. I had no idea how much this would turn me on!
“Oh god, Ari…I want you so much, baby.”
As I stood there, watching him play with himself, I got more turned-on by the second. It took every ounce of strength I had to not crawl on top of him. I focused on his facial expressions as I listened to him whispering my name.
When he lifted his head, he gave me a pleading look. I slowly got on the bed, crawled on top of him, and sank down onto him.
Jeff grabbed my hips. “Oh god…you feel like heaven, baby.”
I didn’t want to rush it, but something snapped, and I just let loose. I wanted it deeper…harder. I threw my head back as he reached around and grabbed my ass.
The next thing I knew, I was having one of the most intense orgasms of my life. I couldn’t do anything but call out in pleasure.
I didn’t even realize when he’d flipped us over, so he was on top. I grabbed on to the edge of the bed and arched my back to get more of him inside me.
“Harder, Jeff! Oh god! I’m going to come again!”
I couldn’t believe what I was feeling. It was amazing, and it felt like it could go on forever. I called out his name as he called out mine.
Lying there, holding each other, we both caught our breaths.
“I love you so much, Arianna.”
This overwhelming feeling of love just swept over my whole body. I ran my hands through his hair as I started to cry. He pulled away and wiped my tears as he smiled at me.
“I love you, too, Jeff. I love you so much. You have no idea how much.”
He lowered his lips to mine, and he kissed me so slowly and sweetly. “I do, baby, because I feel the same.”
When he rolled off of me, he pulled me to his side. My breathing finally started to settle as I drifted off to sleep, next to the only man I’d ever loved…the only man I will ever love.
I still couldn’t believe how wonderful this evening was turning out to be. Scott and I had danced together most of the night. When we weren’t dancing, we were sitting and talking about horses, me moving back to Mason, and Josh and Heather’s wedding. He’d even asked if I wanted to drive to South Padre Island with him.
I looked around, but I couldn’t find Dewey or Aaron. Dewey wouldn’t leave without me. He’s my ride. I reached for my cell phone and hit Dew’s number.
“Hey, little sister! You gettin’ you some tonight?”
What in the hell is he talking about?
“Stop being such a dick, Dew. Where in the hell are you? This place is closing up, and I can’t find you anywhere.”
Dewey started laughing. “Damn that Ari. She told me you were riding home with Scott, so I left over an hour ago, Jessie. I guess Ari thought you were getting some tonight, too.”
My heart dropped to my stomach. Oh. My. God. I’m gonna kill Ari!
I watched as Scott walked up and shrugged his shoulders. He’d gone looking for Dewey outside. I smiled and shook my head.
“Okay…well, I’ll be sure to have a talk with Ari tomorrow. Thanks, Dew.”
As I hung up, I felt the heat rising in my cheeks. What if he doesn’t want to give me a ride home? It’s not out of his way since he passes the Mathews’ place on his way home…but still. Shit, Ari!
“What’s wrong, Jessie? You look like you’re going to be sick.”
“Um…well, it looks like I have no ride home. Dewey left. Ari had told him I was getting a ride home with you, but I can have him come back and pick me up.”
Scott’s face lit up, and for one brief moment, I was happy that Ari had pulled this stunt.
When the DJ announced the last song, Scott reached for my hand. “One more dance?”
As we walked out to the dance floor, Garth Brooks’s “To Make You Feel My Love” started playing. I felt like I was going to start crying. Why do I care about him so much? I just keep hurting myself.
He pulled me into his arms, and we slowly started to dance. I’d never danced with anyone who two-stepped so gracefully. My heart was beating so hard and fast that I was sure he could hear it. As we danced, he held me closer, and I dared to let myself believe he might be interested in me.
I fit so perfectly against him as he held me while we danced. All five foot three inches of me was wrapped in his strong arms. As the song started to come to an end, he pulled back some and looked into my eyes. I lifted my chin, and before I knew what was happening, he kissed me. I didn’t mean to do it, but I let out a moan as he bit down on my bottom lip.
“Jessie…”
I couldn’t even talk. My heart was pounding. I’d dreamed of this moment for so long that I just wanted to freeze it in time. I was so afraid that I was dreaming. He captured my lips with his again, and he kissed me with so much passion I wanted to cry.
He moved slightly away from my lips. “Will you come home with me, Jessie?” he whispered.
Holy shit. Is this really happening? I looked into his beautiful blue eyes and smiled as I barely had the strength to answer him. “Yes.”
The next thing I knew, we were outside, and he had me pressed up against his truck. His hand was up the back of my shirt, and I couldn’t even think straight. Everywhere he touched, my skin was on fire.
I tore my lips from his to catch my breath. “Scott, I don’t do this kind of thing.”
He gave me a confused look. “What kind of thing?”
“This…kissing a guy in a parking lot and saying I’ll go home with him. I just wanted you to know that this isn’t me.”
The smile that spread across his face made me weak in the knees. I felt myself slowly sliding down his truck before he grabbed me and lifted me up. He carried me to the other side, opened the passenger door, and set me in the seat.
“I don’t do this kind of thing either, angel. I’ve never been with anyone besides Chelsea.”
My heart slammed in my chest. What did he just say? I could barely get it out. “What?”
He smiled, leaned in, and kissed me again before he shut the door.
I can’t breathe. He’s only slept with one person—his high school sweetheart…his ex-fiancée…the only other girl who knew how much I lusted after him. Well, Heather, Ari, and Ellie also know, but they don’t count. Do I tell him I’ve only been with Gunner? Oh shit. Oh god, I feel sick.
He jumped into his truck and looked at me with a big ole smile. I couldn’t help but smile back at him.
Jesus H. Christ. I’m really going home with Scott Reynolds…to his house…alone…with Scott Reynolds. Oh holy hell.
The drive to Mason was filled with laughter. I wasn’t sure if we were both just nervous as hell or what. The ache between my legs needed relief so damn bad that I was ready to touch myself just to get it over with. It’s been so damn long since I’d even been with anyone, so I was incredibly scared.
“I have to pee!” I shouted.
Scott looked at me like I was crazy. “What? Right now, Jessie? You can’t wait a few more miles?”
I shook my head. It’d hit me like a ton of bricks. I have to pee now! What the fuck? He needed to pull over, or I was going to piss in my pants.
As soon as Scott pulled the truck over, I jumped out and dropped my pants right on the side of the road. The moment I started to pee, I moaned in relief.
“Shit, Jessie…don’t make noises like that!”
I had to giggle. Then, I moaned again. This time, it was a little louder and lasted a bit longer. I smiled as I hopped up and was about to get my pants back on.
Then, he grabbed me and pushed me up against his truck. He kissed me and placed his hand on my bare stomach. I had the strangest feeling in my stomach. I’d never experienced this before—this intense feeling of need for someone.
He slowly slipped his hand into my panties. I felt the flood of wetness the moment he brushed against my clit.
“Oh god,” I said against his lips.
“Jesus…you’re so wet, angel. I need to get you home, Jessie.”
“Yes…touch me, Scott.”
He moved his other hand up my shirt and under my bra. The second he pinched my nipple, I felt it building.
Jesus H. Christ. Could I have an orgasm this easily?
Then, he slipped his fingers inside me, and that was it. I grabbed his hair and threw my head back against his truck as I cried out in pure pleasure.
As I finally came back to earth, I looked into his eyes as his lips brushed against mine.
“Oh god, Jessie…I want you so badly.”
At this point, I was ready to drop to the ground and tell him to have his way with me. My chest was moving up and down so hard and fast.
“Let’s go.” He reached down and pulled up my pants.
I couldn’t even think straight. That was…that was…amazing.
As we drove up his long-ass driveway, I could hear my heart beating. I’d dreamed of being with him since the first time he kissed me back in high school. Every damn time he’d called me Tiny, my heart would skip a beat. My brothers had known I liked him in high school, and they’d teased me about it.
Scott pulled up and jumped out. I looked over toward his garage. A dark BMW was parked there. Huh, I couldn’t picture Scott driving a Beemer.
He opened the passenger door and reached in for me before I could attempt to get out of the car myself. After carrying me up the stairs leading to the front door, he slowly slid me down his body, and I could feel how much he wanted me. He put his key into the lock and pushed me back against the door as he started to kiss me. He opened the door, and he began walking me backward into the house, never breaking our kiss.
Then, I heard someone clear her throat.
Scott pulled away from me and looked to his left. “Chelsea?”
Chelsea? I turned to see his ex-fiancée sitting on the sofa.
Scott instantly stepped back and away from me, leaving me stunned for a second.
Are they back together? Did he just get caught cheating? No…he told me tonight she’d left him for one of his best friends.
Scott quickly looked at me. He must have realized what he had done because he took a step back toward me and grabbed my hand. “What in the hell are you doing in my house? How did you get in here?”
Chelsea held up a key as she looked at me like I was something she needed to get rid of and fast. Her expression should have dropped me to the ground. Then, it seemed like she was trying to make herself cry.
She stood up and turned back to Scott. “I really needed to talk to you. You weren’t home, so I figured you wouldn’t mind if I waited. I didn’t know you were bringing a…friend home with you.” She glanced back over toward me.
“Um…Jessie, you remember Chelsea?”
I nodded and tried my best to smile at her.
She looked me up and down and then turned back at Scott. “I’m really upset, Scott. I need to talk to you…in private,” she said with a quick look in my direction.
Scott glanced at me and then back to her.
It should have been a no-brainer. Tell her ass to leave and come back tomorrow.
“Um…uh…Jessie, would you mind if I talked with Chelsea for just a bit?”
“Yes…Jessie, maybe you could go outside for a bit? Take a little walk in the moonlight. Better yet, Scott, maybe Jessie should go home.”
“Um…” was all Scott said.
Wait. What? Does he really want me to go outside and take a walk at one thirty in the morning?
“Listen, Chelsea, it’s late. Why don’t you crash in the guest bedroom? Then, we can talk before I leave town tomorrow.”
“What?” Chelsea and I both said at the same time.
She snapped her head over at me, shaking her head. “Why? So, you can fuck your little friend here? You want me to just sit in another room while you screw someone else?”
“No! I just meant that instead of you leaving so late, we could just talk in the morning. Jessie can sleep in another bedroom.”
Oh. My. God. It’s happening all over again. How stupid could I be? What in the world ever made me think I could take the place of Chelsea Mason?
As I glanced over at Scott, I did everything I could to keep back the tears. “I have a better idea. Why don’t you just take me home? Then, y’all can have your privacy to do whatever.”
Chelsea smiled at me. “That’s a great idea.”
Scott snapped his head from me to Chelsea. “Chelsea, will you just shut up?”
She looked stunned as she sat back down on the sofa.
I turned and pushed past Scott, making my way to his truck.
“Jessie, please wait. Jess! Stop, please.”
I spun around. “I just want to go home!” I shouted. I took a deep breath and slowly let it out. “Either you take me home now, or I can have Dewey come pick me up. Hell, at this point, I’ll walk home.”
Aaron and Jenny lived right down the road, right before the Mathews’ place, so I decided to head that way as I started to walk down his driveway.
“Stop! Please just let me take you back inside.” He grabbed my arm and spun me around. “Please, Chels, let me take you back inside.”
I’m going to be sick. He just called me Chels. Don’t cry. Do not cry.
As a tear rolled down my face, he looked at me like someone had just kicked him in the stomach.
“My name is not Chels.”
He closed his eyes and dropped his head. “Fuck, Jessie…I didn’t mean—”
“Please…please just take me home,” I whispered.
He nodded as he let me walk past him toward his truck. I opened the door and slammed it shut before he could even try to help me in. He walked around the front of his truck and looked back at his front door. When I turned back toward the door, I saw Chelsea standing there.
Fucking bitch. I hate her.
He got in his truck, started it up, and headed down the driveway. “Jessie—”
“Please just turn on the radio. I really don’t want to talk to you.”
He let out a sigh as he reached for the stereo. Right when he turned it on, Hot Chelle Rae’s “Why Don’t You Love Me” started to play. Looking out the window, I let out a gruff laugh and just let the tears fall.
How could I let this happen? Again.
I didn’t even care that he knew I was crying. I didn’t care about anything anymore.
“Jessie, please—”
I shook my head and prayed for God to please just let me get home fast. I closed my eyes as I listened to the words of the song. What a perfect fucking song. I’m so tired of being hurt.
He pulled up to Aaron and Jenny’s house, and I jumped out before he could even put it in park.
He got out, ran over to me, and grabbed me. “Jessica, please let me talk to you.”
I looked up at him and laughed. “Do you remember the first time you kissed me?”
He closed his eyes and then opened them again. “Of course I do…under the bleachers after football practice.”
“Do you remember why you walked away from me?”
He just stared at me. His eyes filled with sadness.
“Well, let me refresh your memory. After you kissed me, you pulled away and looked into my eyes. At that moment, I gave you my heart and soul. Only, you threw it to the ground and stomped on it. Chelsea walked by and said, ‘Hi,’ to you. You took one look at her and turned back to me with a smile. Then, you laughed and said, ‘Thanks for the kiss, Tiny!’ before you ran after her.”
Scott went to say something but then shut his mouth. I stepped away from him and started to walk up the stairs leading to the front door.
“Jessie…I was an idiot, and we were in high school. I had no idea you felt like that about me. I thought you were just Aaron and Dewey’s—”
I turned and looked at him. “Little, tiny sister…yeah, I know.”
“Jessie, please drive with me to the coast tomorrow. Please.”
I shook my head as I felt tears building again. As one dropped, I turned away from him. “This was a mistake. It was all just a mistake. I was stupid to think you’d ever be interested in me like that.”
“Fuck, Jessie. Would you please just stop and let me talk to you? Chelsea is not a part of my life anymore. I want to get to know you more, angel. I want to be with you, Jessie. Please don’t do this.”
“When I saw you look at her…” I sucked in a breath of air, trying to stop myself from crying. “And you didn’t tell her to leave and come back tomorrow, Scott. You made your choice…and again, you picked her.”
I ran up the stairs. I opened the front door and shut it before he could say anything. Leaning against the door, I listened as he started his truck and then headed down the driveway. I slowly sank to the floor as I let the tears fall freely.
I was so stupid to think anything could ever happen between us.
Never again.
When I pulled into my driveway, I saw Chelsea’s car still sitting there. I slammed the steering wheel. “Fuck!”
I walked into the house and looked around for her. “Chelsea?” Where in the hell is she?
“I’m up in your room,” she called out.
My heart started to pound. Ah shit.
I headed to my room, wondering what in the hell she was doing there. The door was cracked open. When I pushed it open, I saw Chelsea lying naked on my bed.
Oh fuck.
She smiled and gestured for me to come to her. For one brief second, I wanted nothing more than to go and make love to her, but then Jessie’s smiling face popped into my head and brought me back to my senses. I thought about Chelsea saying that she never loved me and she was leaving me for Mitch.
“Get dressed, Chels, and meet me downstairs.” I turned and walked away.
“Scott! If you walk any farther, you will never have another chance with me. Ever.”
I closed my eyes and let out sigh. “I’ll see you downstairs.”
I reached for my phone in my back pocket and sent Jessie a text message.
Scott: Making Chelsea leave. Please let me pick you up in the morning. Please.
I waited a few minutes, and when she hadn’t replied, I decided to call her. I hit dial on her number, and after three rings, it went to voice mail. “Jessie, I really need to talk to you. Please call me back. Chelsea is leaving, and I…well, I just really need to talk to you.”
“I don’t think I’ve seen you resort to begging before, Scott. If it’s sex you want so much, you had your chance a minute ago.”
I turned and glared at her. “What the fuck are you doing here anyway?”
“I had a fight with Mitch.”
You have got to be kidding me. “And?”
She shrugged her shoulders. “And that’s it. He said some mean things, and I was upset, so I decided to come see you. Maybe leaving you was a mistake. I mean, we were so good together.” She made her way over to me and went to sit in my lap.
I put my hand up to stop her. If she had come to me a few weeks ago…I probably would have been a fool and taken her back. But now, there was Jessie. Something about Jessie made me feel all weird inside. It was like nothing I’d ever experienced with Chelsea. When I’d touched Jess, it felt like fire was moving through my body. When I’d kissed her, I just wanted to crawl deep inside her. I’d never experienced anything like that before. With Chelsea, it had all been just…sex.
Damn it! I screwed up so badly.
“Let me walk you out.” I stood up, took her by the arm, and started walking toward the front door. I opened the door and gave her a little push out. “Next time you have a fight with your boyfriend, don’t come here. As a matter of fact, don’t come here ever again unless you call first. I also need my key back.”
She just stood there and stared at me. “Are you kidding me? You’re going to pick some country bumpkin over me, Scott? Have you been drinking or something?”
“Chelsea, Jessica has more class in her pinkie finger than you do in your whole body. I’ve never in my life met anyone who makes me feel the way she does when I’m with her. Will you please leave now?”
“You just made the biggest mistake of your life.”
“No…the biggest mistake of my life was walking away from her in the first place.”
She turned and stomped off toward her car, bitching the whole way.
I looked at my phone. Nothing. I headed back in and made plans to get up early, so I could go to Jessie’s and beg her to drive with me to the coast.
I had some serious making up to do with that girl. I just hoped I wouldn’t fuck it up. Last time, I’d walked away from her because I was scared to death of the strong feelings I had for her.
This time, I’m not going anywhere.
