BRICK
In a wooden chair, I wait. Staring blankly ahead through the shadows of darkness, I wait. With a foreign ache creeping underneath my chest, I wait. I’m always waiting.
For her to return.
For her to come home.
For her to come back to me.
Blonde hair cuts through the darkness as a woman approaches from the front. One foot in front of the other, she’s perfected the walk of a model.
She’s not a model.
She’s a cheap escort I found online.
She has all the features I desire. She’s strong and independent, but dependent on my cash. She’s leggy, and beautiful, with eyes that remind me of somebody else.
Once the light of the moon is upon her, she pulls a long brown wig over her sun-bleached locks. She’s fucking perfect.
