This book came to me while I was working on the 2012 presidential campaign in Chapel Hill, NC. Without that experience I never could have written this book, and I’m thankful every day that I took the five months out of my life to dedicate to working for a cause I believed in. So, I think first and foremost, I have to thank the campaign and everyone I worked with on it—Meera, Gregg, Alex, Maddie, Kane, Greg, Rob, and Mary. Additionally the dedicated students at UNC that inspired me each and every day—Hannah, Daniel, Olivia, Anna, Ralph, Avani, and Kathleen. Not to mention the supporter housing that kept me alive during that time—Kiran, Rosie, and Joann.

K.A. Linde grew up a military brat traveling the United States and Australia. While studying political science and philosophy at the University of Georgia, she founded the Georgia Dance Team—which she still coaches—and served as campus campaign director for the 2012 presidential campaign. She is the author of five previous novels, Avoiding Commitment, Avoiding Responsibility, Avoiding Intimacy, Avoiding Temptation, and Following Me. An avid traveler, reader, and bargain hunter, K.A. lives in Athens, Georgia, with her boyfriend and two puppies, Riker and Lucy.
